In addition to providing eligibility services and claims resolution for uncompensated medical care expenses, staying on top of state and federal requirements and closely monitoring National healthcare, ClaimAid is now offering assistance with Federal Social Security Disability appeals.

ClaimAid is accomplishing this by adding a Social Security Disability advocate to the team. They are excited to announce that Tammy Loy, JD, is adding her compassion and experience which is in lockstep with ClaimAid’s new service and guiding principles. A graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, IN, and the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law, Detroit, MI, Loy brings both the knowledge and skills as a representative and advocate of disabled claimants seeking Social Security benefits at all levels, from the pre-application stage, reconsideration and throughout appellate hearings before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ).
“I know what patients and their families go through from personal experience,” says Loy. “They have limited resources, they don’t feel good, they’re exhausted, and yet they’re told they have to jump through even more hoops at the federal level. They get to the point where they just don’t want to make any more phone calls. That’s why we’re here–to help ease the burden on those federal applications and appeals. We don’t want them to give up. We have the expertise and the compassion to see them through the process.”
The Social Security Benefits services offered by ClaimAid will be an extension of the already great comprehensive service patients and their families have come to expect from ClaimAid. Fortunately at the federal level, this will include all 50 states.
“We want to keep them informed from the very beginning so they know what to expect and know how to be prepared,” says Loy. “We will go over their case from top to bottom, give them their best options and determine the best course of action to get the benefits they deserve. That also means being their advocate and representing them before the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) or any additional appellate courts.”
